You should be creating headlines that grab your visitors attention and makes them want to read what you are posting. Allow them to participate by posting comments.



You need to pick a topic and generally stick to it. This is called operating within a "niche". A niche is a highly focused targeted subject matter. When you do this it will enable you to concentrate your efforts. And this will attract the attention of people that have a keen interested in the subject that you are blogging about.

Post to your blog often. It isn't an easy task to get people to your blog, and the ones you do get to visit you'll want to keep. People are not going to return to your blog if you're not actively involved with it. They will move on and become someone else's follower.

Register a domain. If you want your blog to be respected, then do yourself a favor and register your own domain name. It is more professional, and will help you stand out. It is easier for someone to remember a top level domain name than a sub-domain.
