If you want to work online from home and build your own successful online business, you'll have to learn the ropes, there's no doubt about that. My FOUR tips for getting your online business up and running today include:



#1 - Learn how to drive traffic efficiently

Traffic is the life-blood of every successful online business, so if you want to become as successful as possible make sure you dedicate plenty of energy to mastering at least one online marketing strategy. I highly recommend you use article marketing, as this is the strategy I've been using myself with much success.

#2 - Build relationships with your leads

There are so many people trying to build online businesses that you have to do something to standout amongst the masses. One of the easiest ways to do this is to insert an email into your autoresponder that develops a back-and-forth with each lead, and while some won't respond, you will get many who do respond and these are the relationships you'll be able to build. The more you build, the more money you will make in the long-run, that's just how this business works.

#3 - Develop your own products

Once you've achieved the feat of getting a healthy flow of traffic to your business, you should create your very own products to sell to your leads. The whole reason behind creating your own products is that once you've got your own products you become an expert, and also when you sell your own products you keep a much higher percentage of each sale, as opposed to selling affiliate products where you have to turn over a large chunk of your hard-earned sale.

#4 - A squeeze page and/or blog

This should be the first thing you actually get setup, and a squeeze page is simply a page that contains an offer for a free product along with an opt-in box that will allow each lead to input their name and email address in exchange for the product. If you are looking to keep your business as simple and to the point as possible, you can forego a blog or traditional website and simply have a bunch of squeeze pages. If you are someone who truly enjoys writing on a regular basis, adding a blog to the mix can help you get a little bit of extra readership over the long-run.
